Day 1: Depart USA
Depart the USA on an overnight flight.
Day 2: Santiago - Easter Island
Arrival to Easter Island. Reception at Mataveri Airport with flower necklaces.
Transfer to your hotel in Hanga Roa.

Day 3: Easter Island
Breakfast at the hotel.
A full day tour visits the Ahu Vaihu, ceremonial place surrounded by Moais that are face down, and the Ahu Akahanga, where the first king of the island was buried. Head next to the Rano Raraku Volcano. Here people carved the giant statues from the volcano's quarry. Here it is possible to observe the different stages in the Moai construction and here lies the biggest Moai in the island - still unfinished and more then 20 meters long and close to 200 tons. Afterwards, visit Ahu Tongariki, the biggest ahu on the island with 15 Moais. Finally, expedition to Te Pito Kura, an ancient settlement. Finishing at Anakena Beach to enjoy its warm sea waters. Boxed lunch included. In the afternoon, return to the hotel.

Day 4: Easter Island
Breakfast at the hotel.
A half-day tour to the Rano Kao volcano, whose deep crater of lush vegetation contains a large fresh water lake covered with totora. From there, we will continue onto the Cultural Centre of Orongo, situated at the top of the crater at over 300m above sea level and where year after year the Bird Man or Tangata Manu ceremony takes place . We can see more than 100 petroglyphs which represent the Make-Make God and the Manutara seabird amongst others. Next, we will proceed to Ana Kai Tangata, a cavern where the island people took refuge during times of war and where you can see many pre-historic paintings. In the afternoon we will make another excursion visiting Ahu Akivi, the big platform, which is composed of 7 Moais, all of them facing the sea; the Ana Tepahu caverns and the quarry of Puna Pau, where the top part of the Moais were sculpted (named Pukao, which means "typical hairstyle"), and Ahu Tahai. Return to the hotel.

Day 5: Easter Island - Santiago - USA
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Mataveri Airport at the arranged time for the departure flight back to Santiago. Farewell with shell necklaces.
Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
Spend the rest of the day at your leisure. You can choose sightseeing tours as you go through the booking process.

Due to varying flight schedules, your Easter Island stay may need to be adjusted in length.
Space is limited and your desired travel dates may not be available if you wait, so book early to avoid disappointment. We highly recommend 2nd and 3rd choices for travel dates and/or accommodations.
Passport & Visa for Argentina & Chile:
Proof of citizenship is the sole responsibility of each passenger. Passengers with improper documentation will be refused boarding. ID requirements do change without notice and vary by nationality. Please check with the appropriate consulate offices regarding requirements. U.S. Citizens traveling to Chile: For 90 days or less usually a valid passport plus a one time "Reciprocity Fee" of $131 payable upon arrival into Chile is required. Fee is paid once and is valid until the expiration of passport. Travel greater than 90 days: visa is required. U.S. Citizens traveling to Argentina: specifics may be obtained from the consulate. South America Departure Tax:
Upon departure in local currency or USD (cash only) the amount of $20 - 45 in some countries is required (amounts may vary daily based on currency fluctuations). Aircraft boarding will be denied to any passenger who fails to pay this tax which is collected after check-in and prior to boarding by Federal Airport staff. Non refundable and non changeable package.

Restrictions:
Prices are per person based on double occupancy and a 21-day advance purchase. Purchases within 21 days will incur additional fees. Air carrier used in the package is based on gateway and availability at time of booking and multiple flights connections may be necessary. Flight departure times may be at any time on your requested departure day. Surcharges up to $50 per person each way may apply for travel Thursday through Monday depending on travel dates. Air taxes/Government-imposed fees/surcharges are excluded. These fees are in addition to the package prices and will be added to invoice. Travel is valid for these dates only. Certain other restrictions may apply, and offer is subject to change without notice. No request will be processed until full payment is received. Once submitted your request can take at least 24 hours to confirm. 2nd and 3rd choices for travel dates are highly recommended.
