    Pyramids of Giza Camel Philae Temple

    Day 1: Depart United States, overnight flight


    Day 2: Cairo

  • Arrive Cairo International airport where you will be met and assisted through formalities, and then transferred to your hotel.
  • Accommodation: Cairo


    Day 3: Cairo

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Enjoy a full day of sightseeing with visits to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx
  • Memphis the capital of ancient Egypt and Sakkara which is best known for the step pyramid the oldest known of Egypt's 97 pyramids.
  • Accommodation: Cairo (B)


    Day 4: Cairo / Luxor / Nile Cruise

  • Breakfast at the Hotel
  • Transfer to the Aiport for your flight to Luxor
  • Morning Flight to Luxor
  • Upon arrival in Luxor you will be met and transferred to your cruise ship by our local guide

    Day 5: Sail to Esna

  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner onboard
  • This morning sightseeing begins with a visit to Karnak, thought to be the most sacred of places in ancient times this vast complex contains three main temples and several smaller enclosed temples although significantly ruined it remains one of the most impressive sights in Egypt.
  • Continue to Luxor Temple once connected to the Temples of Karnak by an avenue of sphinxes over one and a half miles the Temple of Luxor was the ancient center of many festivals and remains one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt.
  • Sail to Esna
  • Accommodation: Onboard (B,L,D)


    Day 6: Sail Esna - Edfu - Kom Ombo

  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner onboard
  • Morning at leisure
  • Visit the Edfu Temple this afternoon, located on the west bank of the Nile it is the second largest temple in Egypt after Karnak and one of the best preserved
  • Continue sailing to Kom Ombo
  • Accommodation: Onboard (B,L,D)


    Day 7: Sail Kom Ombo - Aswan

  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner onboard
  • Visit the High Dam of Aswan, the unfinished Obelisque which lies in it's original location and was most probably abandoned when some cracks were discovered during it's construction.
  • Continue to the Philae Temple which was relocated from it's original site on Philae Island to it's current location on the Agilika Island in the wake of the High Dam construction.
  • Accommodation: Onboard (B,L,D)


    Day 8: Aswan

  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner onboard
  • Embark on an optional visit to Abu Simbel this historic site comprising of two massive rock temples originally carved out of the mountainside have been relocated 60 meters higher due to the contstruction of the Aswan Dam.
  • Enjoy a Felucca ride this afternoon, these traditional sailboats of the Nile are perfect for catching a breeze on a hot summer night and offer great views for watching the sunset
  • Accommodation: Onboard (B,L,D)

  • Day 9: Sail Aswan - Kom Ombo - Edfu - Luxor

  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner onboard
  • Visit to the Kom Ombo temple dating back to the Ptolemies it is built on a high dune overlooking the Nile
  • Afternoon at leisure while sailing through Edfu back to Luxor
  • Accommodation: Onboard (B,L,D)

  • Day 10: Luxor

  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner onboard
  • Sightseeing begins today with a visit to the Valley of the Kings. This narrow valley is where the tombs of Kings were cut directly into the limestone hills. Continue to Hatchepsut Temple a monument to Queen Hatchepsut and the Colossi of Memnon a mortuary temple guarded by two gigantic statues on the outer gates.

  • Day 11: Luxor - Cairo

  • Breakfast onboard
  • Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cario
  • Morning flight Luxor to Cairo
  • Upon arrival in Cairo you will be met and transferred to your hotel by our local guide

    Day 12: Cairo

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Embark on a full day of sightseeing with visits to the Egyptian Museum, the Citadel which is one of Cairo's most popular attractions housing a number of museums, ancient mosques and other sites.
  • Conclude your sightseeing with a visit to Khan El Khalili Bazaar which dates back to 1382 it is one of the most important shopping areas and represents the market tradition which established Cairo as a major center of trade.
  • Accommodation: Cairo (B)

  • Day 13: Return to USA

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo airport for your flight home.

    Notes:
    US citizens require a visa to visit Egypt. Travelers are required to be in possession of a valid passport. Entry visas may be obtained from Egyptian Diplomatic and Consular Missions Abroad or from the Entry Visa Department at the Travel Documents, Immigration and Nationality Administration (TDINA). It is, however, possible for most tourists and visitors to obtain an entry visa at any of the Major Ports of Entry. Please check with your nearest Egyptian Consular mission for more details concerning visa regulations applying to your citizenship. Visas can be obtained upon arrival for US Passport Holders at a cost of US22.00.
  • Health recommendations for US travelers
    Travelers should consider purchasing medical evacuation insurance if they are visiting a country where there may be limited access to medical facilities.
    Travelers should avoid direct contact with wild animals, as they may carry diseases such as rabies.

Air carrier used in the package is based on gateway and availability at time of booking and multiple flights connections may be necessary. Flight departure times may be at any time on your requested departure day. Air taxes/Government-imposed fees/surcharges are excluded. These fees are in addition to the package prices and will be added to invoice. Certain other restrictions may apply, and offer is subject to change without notice. No request will be processed until full payment is received. Once submitted your request can take at least 48 hours to confirm.
    Please note that in many cases, Egypt Air changes intra-Egypt schedules, flights and reservations. Your final flight schedule will only be confirmed to you by our local representative while you are in Egypt.
